The staff here are wonderful. My dog Hossa is having some separation issues since we have been joined at the hip for a year. Shag bark is working with us to help her reacclimate to strange persons and dogs. They are so helpful, understanding and patient. Thank you so much.
After doing 3 weeks of training at another business that caused an aggressive response from our then 8 month old pup, we changed gears and reached out to Franzi at Shag Bark for private training. When I got a 8 week old Rottweiler puppy in July one of my first tasks was to find a training class that I could rely on to help me get a good start on my puppy. Shag Bark gave me exactly that through Franzi. She was extremely informative and inclusive of my breed (which was a concern of mine). My puppy Moka spent 3 weeks with Franzi for lodge and learn. Moka came back home being able to sit, stay, go to place, ring the bell to go outside and in general just a more well behaved puppy. Both Moka and I are so glad we did this! Franzi is amazing!! Moka continues to go to doggy daycare at Shag Bark and she loves it! We can’t wait to continue training through their classes!!
Shag Bark provides a wonderful place for June while we are away. She always goes with the staff willingly and looks as pictured when she gets home. She’s dreaming of good memories of her stay. Thank you Shag Bark for providing quality, kind, priced-right care.

The Lodge and Learn program was a great experience for my energetic Newfie. Franzie is a great trainer and brought out the best in my dog. She doesn't bolt out of the door anymore. This is just after two weeks. Sit/down stay is tremendously better. I'll continue training at Shag Bark and look forward to continuous improvement with my just over 1 year old pup. You might see us practicing at Bass Pro on the weekends.
