If you asked for walks, they will let you know if the paws on cement is bothering your dog, and ask if they may walk the dog on grassy area. They even put a cream on my last dog's feet because the paws were dry and cracking. My dog didn't care for the cuddle time I asked for, but did enjoy the walks. I was new to the area and needed a last minute place to board my Greyhound. Luckily, Shag Bark was able to get me a next day boarding appointment and were flexible with pickup dates in case my trip got extended. I’ve continued using them for boarding because they have great hours for pickup/dropoff and offer a variety of add-ons like nature walks for extra attention. Plus, the FB photos are great and pricing is very reasonable.

Our Willow has been at Shag Bark daily for the past three months during renovation of our home. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Jamie and Allie always greet us with a smile and lots of love for Willow. It’s comforting to know we can leave her knowing she is so cared for. AND she cannot wait to go every single day! The staff takes wonderful care of our furbabies. Thank you for the TLC you give! If we ever need care for our dogs, whether it be a few days or an entire week, there’s no other place we would go. We live an hour away from Shag Bark, but it’s the ONLY care we trust!
Franzi is amazing at training dogs and people. I highly recommend their training classes. We just completed the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy course and our puppy (and I) learned so much. We're excited for the next level!
One of our fur kids managed to tangle with a skunk the morning we were to drop them off to leave on vacation. The staff managed to get our stinky boy in for bathing right away to de-skunk him so that he could board for the week. The pups came home happy, healthy and freshly washed & brushed. Definitely would board again.
