Hello and thank all who work and care for patients at Shirley Ryan Ability Facility. It's very clean and bright and all the nurses, care givers, housekeepers, including security people and even the valet, are kind and helpful. This past week was my first time visiting here. My Grandson is on the 25th floor. He was shot in the head on Oct 30, 2023. We thought we lost Gavin to gun violence. My family and I thank you for accepting him in this wonderful place. After a spinal cord abscess and fusion from T5-T9 I was told I would likely never walk again. I also survived sepsis during this time. When I went to SRAL I could barely wiggle a big toe on one foot. The therapists and entire staff were incredible. Insurance gave me 28 days of rehab. My first day there I said I would walk out, a big statement at the time. I would 'ike to mention an amazing care that I received at the inpatient care facility.. There is a Patient Care Technician called Dyrese This Lady thrives to be on professional level, and picks up the knowledge from the nurses. Not only she does her very best professionalsy. Dyrese also surrounds you with this amazing positive energy. I felt as i was given a big friendly hug when I was admitted and welcomed by her.
