It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Came to the Shrimp Basket in Gulfport and it was amazing! A shonuff local eatery but doggone that food was amazing! It was so good I went twice in a week. First visit was the oyster basket with a side of the best broccoli ever. Second visit was a cup of red beans and rice with a side of what?… broccoli. I stopped in at the shrimp basket. I had the Cajun shrimp pasta Morgan my server was awesome and very attentive. I definitely will be back.
We ate at Gulfport Shrimp Basket today around 2:30 pm after a dr appt. We were greeted with friendly faces and were seated immediately! Our waitress, Michelle, was awesome! She was friendly and welcoming! Food was brought out quickly, and we were closely tended to of all our needs! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any who would ask.
