It wasn’t what I expected. I had already seen the Alamo and knew the story. I was expecting a walk in a dark alley.
when I called and paid over the phone. I was told it was a ghost tour not a history tour of San Antonio. I paid over $100.00 for this and it did not meet my expectations. they need to inform people that it is not an actual ghost tour it's a historical tour. I was not happy with it. Do not waist your money. If you are looking for a true ghost tour go to the Crescent hotel in Eureka Springs Arkansas that is a true ghost tour. To me this was a rip off and a waist of money. It’s 38 degrees outside we called 1:00 that afternoon I was told they would not refund our money for the walking tour. Seriously?
Our guide was pretty rude and kept talking about blonde women for some reason, and horror movies instead of drumming up knowledge of the area. At one point he even stopped to talk about how other people ask to join all the time and what other guides allow and don't allow. We only saw pictures on the tablet he was carrying and talking about experiences from previous groups from weeks and months ago. We traveled to Texas for the first time last week with my wife, San Antonio was an amazing experience, unfortunately the same cannot be said for the Sisters Grimm Ghost Tours. My problems with the ghost tour was two fold; The quality of the tour and the comfort level in the beat to beat moments of the tour. Heard some interesting information but was not what I was expecting for a bus tour. It was too much walking for a bus tour.
I've been on quite a few ghost tours and this one was by far the worst. So boring and the ghost stories were awful. When we tried to leave early the tour guide pointed us in the wrong direction to get back and we ended up lost in a city that we were not familiar with. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Please don't waste your money here
Emily needs to be properly trained in customer service skills and the ability to put out fires. Sean the tour guide saved our trip. We missed the bus and he made sure we got on and caught up. Manny the bus driver also amazing. Highly recommend the tour just get their 30 min early. The ladies who answer calls will not help you at all. The tour guides are gold!!! Thanks Sean my boy and I loved the tour.
