My husband's aged sirloin was perfectly cooked & delicious served with mash & peppercorn sauce. My stone bass was chunky & juicy paired nicely with parsnip puree & mushrooms. Delicious! Not a cheap place but a lovely treat!
Excellently- sourced US beef. Delicious and it was perfectly cooked. Characterful old fashioned/1920s style space in the old Adelphi building, off the Strand. Impeccable service-even though it was busy. I discovered a v good downstairs space for events. Random info: very clean loos. Which is a nice change for central London.
I will try to be as objective as possible. Let's start with the good elements: 1) Service - as attentive as necessary, not too smothering, not too ignoring. 2) Food: The steaks were perfectly cooked, although the portions are much smaller vs its US restaurants, where the fame comes from. The chateaubriand was fabulous. This is the place for the best steak.
Amazing swinging tomahawk Irish grass-fed and finished steak to share. What a performance at the table - setting the steak alight while pouring meat juices over it. Delicious!

The staff were very nice and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice for a meal with my parents. The food was beautiful.
We had a great time The steaks were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Really enjoyed the Gorgonzola topping for the sides. We had truffle macaroni cheese and creamed spinach which was excellent. The whipped mash potatoes were absolutely delicious well seasoned
