Classic British Steak Restaurant. Pure class. Wonderful service and amazing food.
I went for the Two steaks and unlimited fries menu and it didn't disappoint! The food was great, the service excellent and the venue amazing.
We had a great time there, and the service was excellent. But the only thing made me felt a little bit dishonest is that the waitress did not provide me the "set menu" until I asked for. It was like they didn't really want to provide that because the set is more affordable.
Surprisingly good; Goodmans quality meat, attentive service, tasty sides, nice cocktails and decent wine. All of these places are pretty expensive for a steak, but if you want quality meat, near Theatre land, S&W can happily be added to your list.
Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere when we dined at this establishment. The only thing that let our evening down was the lack of enthusiasm from our waiter. I understand you might not want to be in work on a Saturday evening. But would have been nice to see more professionalism when spending over two hundred pounds. The food is really tasty ! I always have the burger which is very well seasoned and prepared . Meat can be a bit pricey but great cuts !!! Worth every penny
Had a meal for 2 using a Travel Zoo voucher deal for £39. Exceptional value with a perfectly cooked fillet steak, fries and a cocktail. Chose onion rings and truffled mac and cheese that was awesome. Excellent service during a very busy midweek service. Great bar and vibe downstairs, but intimate atmosphere upstairs. Highly recommended. Great job by Head Chief Tom Cook and his staff.
We first found Smith & Wollensky when visiting New York a few years ago and were pleased when we found that they had opened a restaurant in London. At last we were able to make a visit there for dinner. Like their parent NYC restaurant the staff are attentive but not overbearing, friendly, helpful with attention to detail.
