I booked Smith and wollensky pre theatre menu for my boyfriends birthday. Overall the food was very nice although I feel the steak (which has a £10 supplement) should be a plain sirloin rather than chimichurri. Me and my partner both agreed the steak was cooked perfectly but the marinade itself wasn’t to our fancy. The service itself was great and my partner was suprised with a Happy Birthday brownie!
This was my second visit to Smith & Wollensky, having previously been for a business meeting. The food, ambience and experience was a true delight on the first occasion and I have been looking for an excuse to go again. Early Friday evening dinner. Nearly as good as the Manhattan restaurant. The only difference being the atmosphere - the original is a NY icon while London is finding its place. The food, wine and service were first rate. Based on 2 visits, I’d say it’s tge best steak restaurant in London.

Food was fantastic, chateaubriand melt in the mouth and chilli shrimp starter maybe best start I’ve ever had. Service and ambience very good also. Expensive but you get what you pay for. Recommended

Recommend for great steaks and beef lovers, should include above! Having been to New York venue just had to compare in London, just as good. Our friends and family overwhelmed by the steaks, the waiter and the decor. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.
Food and service were outstanding. Highly recommended date spot.
