Bring a native New Yorker, S&W was just what I needed after successful week in London and before flying back to DC. -MPA
Had a lovely meal there on a Saturday afternoon, chose the Butchers burger from the brunch menu, and this came with a side of French fries + coleslaw. The burger was great, cooked as requested. The service received was attentive and helpful without being over fussy. Have eaten twice now at Smith & Wollensky in London, and have really enjoyed both occasions.
Lovely restaurant, a little chilly with the aircon. Ordered the Kansas Bone In Sirlion, medium rare, which was amazing!! Superb taste so tender x juicy. Also odered a fillet steak medium-well which was so dry x rubbery!! The waiter said it would be juicy but no blood which is how I wanted it but was not that nice at all. Was a superb restaurant to go for a birthday, the service was perfect, the restaurant itself was stylish and the food was delicious. You can't go wrong!

I know Smith from NY and wanted to check it out in London while there. It was similar in quality and service, but I guess nothing beats the original. The place is quite noisy though because of the high walls. Anyhow, great place to go for dinner.
We went to Smith & Wollensky for some pre-theatre dinner. Our experience was absolutely fabulous! A great Champagne selection at the bar, good fun with the bartender Ernest - in all, a brilliant start to the evening. We had the scallops and tuna tartare for starters, followed by the 1kg tomahawk steak and finished off with the cheesecake and a big blob of homemade whipped cream. The steak was insanely amazing but made even better by the attentive staff. Bar staff, waitress and even the doorman were welcoming and friendly, genuinely the best service I've had in London in a long time. Hats off to the superb cocktail creator! Thank you. I will most certainly be back and recommending the restaurant to friends.
