Excellent friendly service, delicious food, a bit special
Despite the reputation I was little wary of Smith and Wollenskys for the sole reason that neither my wife or two teenage daughters eat steak. I needn't have worried, there was plenty of choice for our party and all thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Quite simply my meal, a USDA prime dry-aged sirloin, was the best steak I have ever eaten. For my 13 year old daughter however, her highlight was the cheesecake which literally almost brought tears to her eyes it was that good. The best steak I've ever had, and believe me I've tried a lot! Great service, great food, perfect for a business dinner. Maybe on the expensive side, but definitely worth it.

A great dinner. The pea soup and the Filet Mignon were fantastic.
Having had a recent bad experience at a well known restaurant working under an auspicious name I was eager to have a good steak meal when next in London. S&W was the perfect choice for an after theatre dinner. The food was excellent and the whole experience lived up to all the advertisements that I had seen. Will definitely eat at S&W again when next in London for the theatre.
