Our windows were finally installed after one-year of waiting due to pandemic issues with the manufacturer and installer. After installation, we are not happy with the quality of the windows.Sliders are not secured, nor is the ** protection what we expected. Sound quality is very poor as well. We bought the Soft Lite Hurricane Impact windows from a dealer in Central Florida over a year ago and we have had many quality control issues that we are still working off a punch list. The last window was manufactured incorrectly by Soft Lite initially as well as having very visible scratches on the inside of the window between the two panes, so you cant get at it. I had qty. 21 new Soft Lite Pro series double hung windows installed on my house this past April 2020. On month later, six of the double hung window upper sashes, the exterior weather strips are all starting to peal and fall off of the windows. Although the company I purchased them from have reordered these windows for replacement, I am waiting for them to arrive, then I have to have the original installer come back to install them. I was a Dealer for Soft-lite in the Nashville area. I had sold a job with multiple shape window and some double and all were painted outside. Since day one we had numerous issues. The paint on several windows was messed up. It was either lightly painted or gouged paint missing. They also sent windows with Low E on the wrong glass surface. It was on the inside of the glass. I purchased two sliding patio doors so I can sell my condo. The dealer cancelled twice on me but did install them after sometime. I had a problem with the door that it wouldn't lock. I called the dealer/installer at least 25 times but no return. Just lazy... I finally had to hire someone myself to fix it. but Soft lite did replace the part. I then called after I sold my condo before the 6 months and they told me it would be $250.00 to the paper work to move to the customer. Seal failure. Reported complaint to BBB because Soft Lite LLC customer representative stated, the company refuses to honor repair. My parents purchased $5,000.00 worth of Gorell Windows for my home 1-29-2009, the majority of which now have seal failure. The complaint to BBB: Gorell went out of business / sold out to Soft Lite LLC who refuses to honor repair. I ordered windows from Empire in l994, yes awhile ago, but there is a lifetime warranty. Unfortunately, one of the windows has become disfunctional. The upper track which has a vinyl strip is now on the bottom half of the window and the window wont go up. It is secure in the track and I cant move it back up. The warranty is from Soft Lite and there is $300 service charge. What kind of warranty is that: ?
