I went for my first mammogram and was called back into get a second one. Never once did they explain that they were an out patient procedure and would be charged a facility fee and then be charged for the doctor themselves. This made the cost skyrocket. I even asked for an itemized estimate of the cost which was sprung on me when I showed up. Not when I made the appoint. I believe that this violate the No Surprises Act which requires that they estimate be given 3 days in advance in order to make an informed choice. I w... read more
Still 1 star, one year later. I wish I could give Solis zero stars... I got a mammogram last month (July 2021). My PCP referred me last summer for the first time (see first review) because of a history of breast cancer in my family. Being under age 40, my insurance still covers an annual mammogram because of the history. So I go in, fill out my paperwork, and verify with the lady helping me with paperwork that insurance does, indeed, cover the mammogram. She said yes since there is a history of breast cancer in my family. ... read more

I would give a zero rating but that is not an option. I had a small blemish on my breast (pimple) and they insisted that I go to my primary doctor to order a normal (non diagnostic) mammogram all during the Covid -19 when you can't see a doctor in person. Otherwise, it would be an out of pocket expense of several hundred dollars. Mind you, I did all that and then received a bill from a debt collector while my insurance 100% covers annual mammograms. They said that they sent two bills and called me (which I did not recei... read more
Watch out. Solis, Medical City, Las Colinas (Irving) has a hidden facility charge for a mammograms with immediate billing issues. During in-person check in on the day of my "routine" mammogram, I specifically asked if there was a facility charge, and was told there was not one. However, in just 3 months from the date of service, I received my very first bill for a facility charge for $294.60 from NPAS, Inc (a collections agency) representing Medical City of Las Colinas. I called NPAS and Solis and neither helped. I w... read more

Beware! The place itself is fine but what happened to me feels like a scam. My insurance paid immediately after my appointment. 5 months later, Medical City billed my insurance for the same visit when the contracted amount had already been paid. Solis said that Medical City bills for the use of its equipment. hat is not part of their contract with the insurance companies, so of course it was denied as already paid. Both EOBs show I owe nothing. I called Medical City and sent them EOBs. As of yesterday, I'm STILL gett... read more

While I have been to this location several times before it was branded Solis Medical City, those visits were uneventful. However, during my last visit, I had a bone density scan. While I had been told previously that I had mild osteopenia, the results now showed that I had osteoporosis. I am only in my 50s, and was pretty freaked by this news. As a result of this news, my physician referred me to a specialist at UTSW. I spent several appointments there, and underwent additional testing. The physician at UTSW there said... read more
My first time going in for a mammography and it was horrible. 9AM appointment, checked in at the front desk and was called to the back to fill out paperwork, haven't said one word yet due to my nerves and the first thing the lady asked me instead of "how are you this morning?" she says "do you have an attitude?" I was shocked by her statement because it was so blatantly rude and unprofessional. First impressions are everything right? I was already nervous and now I was offended, the doctor didn't help either, brushing my con... read more
I was scheduled for an appointment for a hysterosonogram. I waited a month for this appointment and took the time off of work to get to this appointment. I then found out that they did not even do that hysterosonogram. I had to schedule with a whole new place. Terrible service.
Zero Stars.....Poor initial mammogram. It was so fast I barely had time to blink (this wasn't typical in my many times I have one in the past). Got called back for something suspicious and then had 2 very expensive tests to be told...all is well. I truly believe had the first mammo been performed properly, I wouldn't have had to come back. They are just after your $$$$$. Won't go back to Solis..they are crooks!
