I agree with the comments that the receptionist is one of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. On 2 occasions I've called to schedule something and she starts talking over me before I can get the full request out of my mouth. As a result, she doesn't actually know why I'm calling, gives me incorrect information, and then gets irritated that what she's telling me isn't what I was asking for. The receptionist has a bad attitude. Asking a question should not be a demeaning task.
I took my dog to this vey after calling around all day because he was bleeding on a place that had come up on him. They removed the band aid and , Dr said it is going to need to be removed. Squeezed it to make more blood come out and said it will be surgery and I asked how much we were looking at and he said $800-$1000 depending and blood work. Was a time I would have awarded 5 stars to this clinic. Mark Pirrung worked with me for years with my house cats and the colony of ferals I always seemed to adopt. He has dropped the ball the last few years. Instead of helping me, he barks at me about my inability to care for my animals. I don't need this kind of attitude in my life. He used to send me home with animals that were candidates for euthanasia and between us we nursed them back to health. Time to retire, Dr. Mark.
We have brought our dogs here for several years, but recently, I have been dissatisfied with the service I have received from the assistants. Once, I requested medication for one of my five pets from a pet pharmacy that been referred to me. The staff didn't bother to tell me they had denied the request because they only do it for the pharmacy they are associated with. I called this morning to inform the clinic that my dog had passed and inquired about cremation services. The person that answered the phone didn't even say she was sorry about the loss of my pet !!!! She rudely told me to call when I arrived and that they would take payment when I arrived with my deceased pet. I have NEVER seen such rude, uncaring people working at a Veterinary Clinic. Dishonest. Watch out. They're going to squeeze your dogs anus gland and charge you $75 regardless of what service you're going in for. Broken leg... anus gland squeeze. Heart worm check up... anus gland squeeze. Flea medication consultation... anus gland squeeze. I have taken at least 6 dogs to this place throughout the years and have found way better service and fees elsewhere. Don't be afraid to shop around people.
Dr. Pirrung is HORRIBLE! I took my puppy because he was vomiting, nor was he eating or drinking anything. They tested him and he was Parvo positive. As an owner, I was already very upset and crying. His "bedside assistance" is VERY disruptive. He made no suggestions on what I should do. I asked him if it were his pup what he would do. He replied by saying "if it were my dog he would not have Parvo to begin with". Luckily i was not in the mood to say anything back or hell would have started!
