My mother was put in the care of South Coast as an emergency situation. It was supposed to be temporary and she ended up there for 9 months. I live 2 hours away so I had to communicate via phone often. Every person was so kind and compassionate on the phone. The social workers were amazing. Kaci helped coordinate transition to a long term care facility as quickly as she could. We had an insurance hiccup and Natercia in the business office went above and beyond to help resolve it. Absolute spiritual experience at Southcoast, so much love for Christian, Josh, John, and Gabrielle the music therapist. Praise Jesus for bringing me to these very firm, but yet kind, and loving people! Glory be to God! God is good! God is love!

I felt very respected at this hospital. My doctor was really nice and the staff was good. It was nice to be in a hospital that wasn't violent towards its patients.

They are currently treating my son and I have nothing but good things to say about the place. I am quite surprised by the reviews. Everyone we have worked with so far has been very helpful.

x A close family member was in crisis and sent here from an E.R. in early April, 2020. As happens in a crisis situation, the patient is sent where there is a bed available. After I read the few reviews on Southcoast Behavioral, I was very distressed and worried about them being admitted here. Based on past history at other behavioral hospitals in Massachusetts, I am extremely grateful that my loved one was place here at Southcoast. I recently had a loved one there in the geriatric unit and was so nervous after reading all the negative reviews BUT after 10 days of her being there, I have to say I was very impressed with both the staff and the care that was given to her. She was always clean and dressed and felt SAFE there. The staff was amazing with the patients and with my family. Dangerous here. Hubby was there for three weeks. They put him on medication to sedate him, and he fell and required for stitches. Didn't even bother to tell me till the next day. He was assaulted by a fellow patient, they wouldn't document it. I could go on and on and on. The staff is meh at best. Two nurses stood out. Someone named Barbara and someone named Agnes on the geriatric floor. Everybody else? Needs an attitude adjustment.

RATING ZERO STARS = FAILURE Last Thursday February 5th my life partner of almost 23 years made a suicide attempt due to depression. He was allegedly placed at the South Coast Behavioral facility on Tuesday morning 2/10 from the staff at Saint Lukes. This hospital is subpar! The CNA and the psychiatric staff were horrible! I wouldn't send my worst enemy there!
