I actually took 3 tours. I was impressed with the size of the rooms in memory care, the staff, and the interactions they had with the residents. The tour guide was friendly, understanding, and patient. We emailed her an extensive list of of questions, which she forwarded to the executive director. The director called me the next morning and talked with me for about an hour, answering all to my satisfaction.
What's to say! They are an EXCELLENT choice, with staff that goes the extra mile not just for the patient, but also the patients loved ones. Definitely would recommend this community to others! I just wish more people could afford the nursing/end-of-life care when they need it.

I had the privilege of volunteering to play the guitar at Southern Pines Memory Care, and it was such a heartwarming experience. Seeing the residents laughing, smiling, and singing along made my day. My uncle made the difficult decision to move my aunt to Southern Pines Memory Care after two previous facilities were unable to meet her needs. We were nervous and unsure of what to expect, but the difference has been incredible. When she first arrived, she stayed in her room, wouldn't eat with others, and refused to socialize. So my aunt moved to Southern Pines, March 2025. She has been there over a year now and with her move into memory care and with the care of [name removed] and many of the staff there she has now become more confident and more comfortable in her settings. Before she was in her room day and night and now she comes out and interacts with others and participates and seems to be doing well. I am very happy with her progress and find comfort with her caregivers.
