In the end, Stellar did a fine job with the project. I did have to get after them about a few things that were promised in the up-front sales discussion that they appeared to not be aware of, but each time I did, they got right to work on those issues. Like many contractors in Denver, Stellar's trying to maximize job efficiency by moving work crews around where it makes sense, and I respect that, but I also needed to rein them in on a few issues (no early-morning pressure washing on Labor Day weekend, please). They were the most expensive out of all the exterior painting companies from whom we received estimates. I feel that they would have done a good job; but in the end, we went with an equally good company for less money. Stellar Painting came out to our house and gave us an estimate for painting the exterior.

These reviews about Estimates are just flat unfair. A "C" Rating 4 months later after the Estimate, really? Just because the common process of receiving bids was undertaken, reviewed and a bid was chosen, there was a need to be critical? Seems pretty petty and unkind. Were we unprofessional ? Called office for an estimate. Estimator called me back the same day. We talked over the telephone about specific areas of the house that needed extra attention. For example:wood corbels would be sanded, caulked,and primer and paint would be hand applied,and house would be pressure washed to include stonefacingto remove bird droppings, etc.As agreed, estimator came to the house, while I was at work, thenemailed me awritten estimate and contract which contained the specifics we had previously discussed.Painters showed up on s... read more
I'm only sorry I did not have Stellar also install a new toilet and the electric lines. I used other contractors for plumbing and electricity and it was a mistake. I would have saved money, completed the job sooner and dealt with fewer workers and the inevitable mess. Stellar's workers have been with them for a while and are happy in their work. Wonderful team and work... My team was Devon and Kenny. Stellar did an excellent job on painting the exterior of my home. Meticulous prep work and very good painting of the house. I had a really good team, who were professional and courteous.
There is still some "bleeding" through of the paint samples I put on the back of the house although Jason applied primer plus three coats of Sherwin Williams acrylic A-100 flat in attempt to cover them . I was not made aware of the fact that It was not a good idea to put the paint samples on the stucco - I assumed the samples would be covered by the house paint - all samples were variations of gray and the original EFIS that was painted was also gray. The crafts people were very professional. The work was of high quality. We have had many compliments. For the most part everything went smoothly and when there wasa small problem Jack handled it. We would have them do future projects. Installed new hardwood floors, re-did bathroom, installed granite countertops.
We received quote from Home Depot and Stellar. The Stellar rep that showed up to measure made a number of disparaging remarks about Home Depot and how we don't want to go with them for our tile installation. Stellar's quote was $1,000 over Home Depot. We went with Home Depot and could not be more pleased with the results. Would have been a waste of $1,000 to go with Stellar. Gave us a quote.

We are in business to sell who we are and communicate our track record and how we go about our approach to business vs. others. We are always respectful and professional as to how we do this. We simply told this member that we use the same people to perform our tile work and therefore can produce consistently positive end results. We know the Big Box outfits rotate the use of many subcontractors that may or may not produce a positive end result every time. The repair team leader thatI met with was Desmond.He was very thorough and fair with the repair estimate, and the repair crew was punctual and did a good job.Theywent the extra mile and did smaller fixes to get my house ready to be painted, thatI had not noticed prior to their job.
