I was sad to see that my previous dental hygienist was gone but then pleased to see that the new young lady is just as good. Very professional but very pleasant. Best dentist office I've ever been to.
Everyone was extremely nice with prompt service. The hygienist was highly skilled and very thorough with little to no pain. The dentist was thoughtful, thorough and informative.

The dentists and staff at THFD are knowledgeable, friendly, and provide stellar patient care. Every step of the process went smoothly, and I am fortunate to have found local dental care I can trust. My family and I have been patients here for several years and love it. We tried out several dental offices when we moved to the area, and just couldn't find a good fit. We decided to try Tarheel Dentistry because of the location and because of the name (GO HEELS!). We could not be happier. The staff is wonderful! They are great with my kids and we always have a pleasant experience.
We have been in the Carrboro/Chapel Hill area for the last 2 years and have tried a few other Dentists in the area. One of my coworkers and her son had been seen at Tarheel Family Dentistry, and upon her recommendation we thought what do we have to lose? I am excited to say that we were very pleased with the service that we received at Tarheel Family Dentistry! They were very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. This was my second visit to Tarheel Family Dentistry. As with my first visit, everyone was friendly and extremely professional. The office was bright and very clean. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for thorough dental care.
I love that TFD sends you multiple text messages leading up to your appointment, that they get you in and out quickly, that they file insurance for you and don't require payment that you have to wait to get reimbursed for, and that the care is excellent! My hygienist was extremely gentle and thorough and Dr. Durusky was knowledgable and helpful. I'll definitely return.
I have been very happy with the kindness and excellent care of everyone at Tarheel Family Dentistry, and especially their patience and flexibility. My three-year-old has been there three times now, and has gone from refusing to open his mouth to excitedly anticipating his appointment - thanks to the care of Drs. Durusky and Lee, Natalia, Judy, and others.
