Normally a fan of Ted's Bulletin but tried to go here with a larger party today (noting it was not particularly busy) and the host at the front rolled their eyes at us, which was incredibly rude. We will not be dining here again, not if greeted with that kind of service.
Business response:
Hello Elexa, this is disappointing to see. It would be helpful to learn more information about this experience at the host stand. Please contact us at info@tedsbulletin.com when you have a moment.
This place is still a class act. I use to frequent the location in D.C. I did not know they had a location in Fairfax. The food is plenty and good. The space is classic, old time upscale diner. The service is great. Now, while I loved the grits, I don't want cream or milk in my grits. I just want water.
Came for here dinner at 6:30pm on a Tuesday. My son ordered the waffle which he enjoyed. I ordered the tuna bowl and it was borderline inedible, my son even mentioned it was really stinky and had to cover his nose to eat his waffle. Tuna was frozen, had a weird smell and color, and was crusted in sesame but the seeds were so hard that it felt a bit on a bone. Riced was microwaved and very mushy. Didn't want to complain and just paid and left. Place was pretty slow. May put Teds on my list of restaurants to not return to.
Business response:
Hello Dan, we apologize for missing the mark on your tuna bowl. Please contact us at info@tedsbulletin.com so we can discuss.
Another great Sunday brunch. Unfortunately they ran out of their cinnamon bun as big as your head But was seated right away at about 1:30pm. Our orders were made to order and the eyes, steak, Benedict's all came out well. The steak was definitely a little over saturated by sauce by my taste... so next time I might ask them to put less or on the side.
Food came out very promptly. It was hot and delicious. It took forever to get our milkshakes. We ordered them at the same time as the food and they didn't arrive until after we were done eating. And they had melted! It wasn't during a busy time--the lull between lunch and happy hour on a weekday, and they were not packed with customers, so it was a little frustrating.
Business response:
Hello Meghan, we are glad that you enjoyed the food and we apologize for the milkshakes. Please contact us at info@tedsbulletin.com so we can discuss.
We ate there last night, Wednesday, 2 Oct 24. The waitress came and took our drink order and was back a few minutes later, no drinks, but ready to take our food order. We needed more time. At this point I mention that there was 1 person at the bar, a big party who'd been there a while and were wrapping up, and maybe 10 other tables. 2-3 waitresses on the floor. She came back a second time, still no drinks, took out food order, appetizers and main courses and wandered off. The appetizers came out quickly and were tasty. After... read more

Hello Sarah, apologies for this badly timed service. Please contact us at info@tedsbulletin.com so we can discuss and get better.
Ted's Bulletin nails "upscale American diner" and this location is no exception. We had a great brunch there. Despite arriving on a busy Sunday with the farmer's market in full swing, they were able to seat us inside right away. They have an extensive menu with all the brunch classics and a bunch of vegetarian options. I really liked the mushroom falafel wrap I ordered, and of course the homemade pop tarts and giant cinnamon roll are both classics. Service was fine and so were prices. We'd return.
Every time I go to Ted's Bulletin, I'm so content with what I order! In the past I've gotten the pancakes and the breakfast burrito, but today was all about the huevos rancheros and it was absolutely delicious. I feel like I haven't had a better version of this dish and it was just great. And obviously you have to get a Ted Tart (the sole reason I want to go most times haha). We got the classic strawberry and the special Apple Ted Tart. Both of which were delicious and warmed. I could eat ten of these, feel bad about it, but... read more
The food here was delicious! The Brussels sprouts were my favorite but the pot roast was delicious as well. The service was pretty standard - no complaints, and the overall vibe was good. Spacious and plenty of room for dining.
