*FEES, FEES, FEES! Received a late fee bill that has been racked up over the last three months with no prior notice of this. Went to talk to them and showed proof of my payment on time and they said "oh I don't know how that happened." Right. They were just hoping we would write a check without looking into it. This place is affordable living for the price of an old looking apartment. They will show you a newly renovated model. Nothing is renovated, everything is falling apart including the ceiling & when you call maintenance, they say that they will help the same day then don't show up. Calling to ask the maintenance people the day after if someone will be able to come fix it and I get a "oh I don't know" back. 3 days later they might come help you even if you have a hole in your ceiling, it's not their priority. They are horrible with getting an apartment ready or on time and even then if you have a date it still more than likely not going to be ready. The management is horrible, no one is on the same page. They keep telling you one thing and someone else will say something completely different! They make you go thru all this back and forth and they don't want to make it right. The Augusta Apartments is a low class place to live. While living in the apartment I have to purchase a space heater as to save on heating costs in the winter due to the poor insulation. The bedrooms were usually ran about 10 degrees warmer or colder than the living room, depending on the season. The windows in our apartment we very shabby as there were no screens, so we had to rely on the air conditioner. The worst part about this community is the management.
