Super nice staff.. I have boarded and brought my dog to day care and I knoe he is in great hands. Oakley loves it here!!!

We had our dogs boarded for a weekend stay and paid extra for them to have baths at the end. When I picked them up they smelled of urine so bad that we had to give them baths at home. We also asked for the gold package because we wanted daily photos of the pups just to have that relief that they’re doing ok. We were told they don’t do any text updates unless something is wrong. We used The Barking Dog for boarding and grooming for 14 years, starting at the Derry location, then Hooksett after a move. Unfortunately, our recent experiences have been bad and they have lost our business. We had a senior dog that could stand, but not for long periods. They said they could groom him as a sat, but instead they forced him to stand using the neck device. When he returned home, he couldn't walk or stand for nearly two days. I will never take my pet here ever again! My cat needed to be boarded while I was having life saving medical treatment and they almost killed my cat! My cat was incredibly sick from her boarding stay with them. She still is incredibly sick even now and it's a week and a half later. I completed the survey they email you asking for feedback after my pet's boarding. At the end of it they request you to email them if you had any issues before you post any reviews. I was extremely displeased with the service, as well as the lack of communication. Also on top of all of this my pup now has Kennel cough. Totally 100% unacceptable and unprofessional.

They hold people’s dog hostage overnight if they’re not there in exactly the time to pick up. For some dogs this is extremely traumatic. If it was my dog, I’d have called the police. I or anyone I know will never patronize this scummy business
