They are engaged, and invested emotionally and physically with the residents. Even coming back in late evening to be with the family members when the spouse passed away. They are so very accommodating to any request from the residents. I can't say enough about the staff. The facilities are immaculate and the setup encourages interaction and activities.
The only person I remember at The Canopy was [name removed] and she was great. My mom never got to move in because she had a fall at home, and ended up in a nursing home. The staff and facility was very nice and I recommend them to anyone wanting a great home.
Newer facility. Bright and welcoming. Staff is courteous and caring. Onsite nurses and caregivers. As well as therapy personnel. Apartments are great size. Showers are wheelchair accessible. Dining area bright. Food is great. Activities galore. 24 hour availability of coffee, water, sodas, fruit and cookies. I highly recommend The Canopy.
Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. However there are a few who make you feel like they are re doing you a favor if they do anything for you. Overall I would recommend the facility.
I would recommend the facility. The meals are a good quality. The staff makes mom feel cared for. The current LPN is very good about returning emails and answering my concerns. I have the Director's cell phone #. When I have had issues, things were made right. They have activities in the afternoon. We picked this community because my dad liked it. I would recommend to others.
The in house physical therapy is fantastic. They keep things entertaining while they are working with you. If you do have a problem, speak up. The staff will work with you to try to resolve it. I would definitely recomemdbn The Canopy at Hickory Creek to others.
My loved one is currently a resident at The Canopy at Hickory Creek and overall, the experience has been very good so far. The food is great. The staff and med techs treat the residents well. The housekeeping could be better. The nurse is elusive and never returns my calls, but the Care Coordinator is wonderful and always calls me back. Its hard to know when or where or even how to place your LO when its time. I suggest checking a few places but have to say The Canopy at Hickory Creek is a family. Everyone looks out for each other. The staff is amazing, informed and always able to help. There's always something to do or someone to talk to. My suggestion is to call and have a tour with DeShea Grimm... You will be happy that you have this place as an option.
