My mother lived at the Cottages for many years. She has never been happier! The activities kept her social calendar filled all the time. The residents are like a family. They take care of eachother and are so welcoming to everyone that comes in the door. The director of the facility is absolutely amazing . She loves the residents and constantly has trips, lunches, plays, etc planned for them. I can't say enough wonderful things about The Cottages! The best place for your loved one

If you are looking for an independent senior living community in the Monroe area, I highly recommend The Cottages of Monroe. The Cottages are warm and cozy, just like you want them to be when you are growing older. The community is small enough that you feel like family from the minute that you take up residence. My friends here at the Cottages wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Come see for yourself what I'm talking about. You won't be disappointed.

A quiet, peaceful setting, well-maintained landscape, lovely cottage with all the amenities, friendly neighbors, 24 hour security, medical facilities within ten minutes, staff members always available to meet our needs: Welcome to the Cottages of Monroe. My father moved into the Cottages with the hope of moving my mom from an assisted living into the apartment with him. 2 days later she moved to Heaven. I was grateful Dad was living there. He needed to be around people. I was a few miles away but couldn’t spend all of my time with him. [name removed] opened her doors and heart to my dad. The cottages is an oasis of love, family and friends. You’ll never feel alone here with [name removed] as the manager. She will always make you feel included and loved, and want you to join in on the fun. They celebrate birthdays together, have movie nights, meals, parties, everything you can think of. This is the place to be. The place to always be safe, included, and cared for.

I moved to The Cottages of Monroe two years after my husband passed away. It was time for a change of venue. My experience at The Cottages has helped me to continue to grief and heal in a gentle, peaceful and supportive setting. It was definitely the right decision. I would do it again!

I have lived at the Cottages for 10 years and enjoyed every minute! I have my own little home with no cares about upkeep--just pick up the phone. I would recommend the Cottages very highly. I also enjoy some of our weekly activities and the friendly comradery with the other residents.
