This is an employee owned business and they do an amazing job considering what they have to deal with. My husband has been there almost two years and has settled in far better than we could imagine. Of course there are the usual problems of that type facility..clothes getting mixed up..things going missing etc. but for the most part they do an excellent job. Also members of our family are there for a lot of meals and the food is always good, my husband usually cleans his plate.
Friendly, clean, and a good value.
We love how it feels like a home and not like a facility. My grandma is able to maintain the maximum amount of indepence she is able to at her current stage which we feel secure in knowing she is safe and well cared for as her needs change. We chose this facility for the small and personal feel.
I would recommend to others. One thing you might add is a phone system. Some seniors have difficulty with cell phones. Family would like to be able to call them. We picked this community because of the price and location.
The Courtyards at The Ambassador was exactly what we needed at the time Mom’s needs were changing. The transition was smooth for me, a little rough on Mom. As the staff became familiar with Mom’s needs and capabilities the first week, her comfort level improved. Scheduled care practices and procedures are followed by the staff. Based on the experience we have had so far, there are things that need repair. For people in the same financial situation I would recommend it and we like that our loved one is able to have their pet with them.
The staff member who helped us tour at the Courtyards was very helpful and knew her stuff. But she commented that they had very few residents. The facility was also totally dark when we went on a Saturday around noon- no lights on in the common spaces or hallways. It was completely empty. Like no staff members in sight, only one resident and he was inside his apartment. It would be a good fit for someone looking for a very quiet facility. Just not a good fit for our mother in law.
My mother was a resident at The Courtyards at The Ambassador Care Assisted Living. It's a great facility. Everyone was very friendly. Communication with the family was good and they were very accommodating. Excellent housekeeping. And a good value. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.
This community is the best place we could have found. My loved one has a door that leads to the courtyard as well as a little patio area which is great for my loved one because they enjoy the outdoors and love being outside.
