cancelled my personal training at the beginning of the year at Shelby location (my home location) in person with a manager just to find out they turned off the auto monthly debit but KEPT RUNNING THE BALANCE UP IN THE BACKGROUND on my account even though the manager told me it was cancelled. this should be illegal they are refusing to actually cancel the personal training sessions I'm not taking but keep increasing my balance by $200 every month!!! This gym is consistently trying to steal money from people. They know that I donated a kidney back in October and since pulled a hernia and they're still trying to take money even though the account was said to be closed by a manager 2 and 1/2 months ago. I will be contacting the better Business bureau about this.

Wtf is the matter with this location? The other edge fitness gyms are great, but the Shelby location is a bunch of kids breaking the equipment and molesting each other in front of everyone and for some reason edge allows this type of behavior. Every day there's some crazy/illegal shit going on, today I witnessed a group of teens breaking machines on purpose, and then ripping each other pants off and wrestling with their pants oin the middle of the gym. This gym is a joke when it comes to keeping up on their facility. When you pay close to $35/month to a gym, you don't expect things as simple as a drinking fountain to take over a month to get repaired or replaced. The men's locker room has constant backups, the sauna is hardly up and running, their tanning beds are trash because half the bulbs are burnt out, and there's never an explanation for anything. That's a direct shot at ownership/management. A little bit of pride goes a long way.

I need to put my membership on hold - snow bird - u can't only if you are severely ill surgery / Manager was rude could give a poop and rude - this gym is only for 40 and hunger go somewhere else ! Wish I would have !!!!!

Dishonest business practices, very fishy, will give them a zero star if I can. They will ignore your cancel request and take money from you anyway. Even if you stop bank ACH, they will still find a way to charge your credit card without your permission.

DO NOT become a member of Edge Fitness (Shelby Township)!!! I have had the worst experience and terrible customer service For over a year I have been trying to cancel my membership. I was denied twice to end my contract early, so I made sure I canceled as soon as my contract ended. I called them to cancel and an employee told me to go to a website to cancel.. so I did. I was led to a third party website which charged me $37 for the cancelation. The Next day I was charged a maintained fee of $50 which shocked me. I called ag... read more

Busy as hell, I was debating on getting a membership here and the sales associate was nice but I just knew that this gym wasnt for me. The ONLY thing I liked was that they had a womens only area and another area that has a movie theater. I'm convinced that I'm a bat at this point because I'm such a night owl so the dark movie theater room almost had me convinced to join. The Good: Probably the best business hours of any club around. Large variety of equipment. Plenty of machines; resistance & cardio. Hoist, Hammer Strength & Cybex are quality. Large green turf stretch area & a short 3 lane track. Plenty of TVs everywhere. The Bad: First of all, beware when you sign up for gym memberships that LOCK you in for a year in advance! The dues are handled by ABC Financial Services. They are scumbags. This company has a reputation of charging dues AFTER people have cancelled, over & over. Look them... read more
