The Matisse A modern apartment with luxury finishes, the Matisse is an excellent choice for chic, metropolitan living. The location is unbeatable-a streetcar line, restaurants, and food carts just steps from the door, easy access to downtown, the Willamette River in view, and plenty of common and outdoor space for lazy afternoons in the shade or stunning rooftop dinners. The staff genuinely care for their tenants and it shows. It feels like home!
The complex is... (Verified Renter) The complex is dirty. The garage and garbage areas are filthy. Outside the building is extremely dirty, garbages are constantly overflowing. The apartments are clean. However, they are small. the storage space in the apartment is extremely limited. Very small closets and kitchens.
Issues First off we moved into their cheapest (and least desirable) apartment because it was more in our price range. We had no idea that this place dramatically hikes rent 4-6% per year. Our renewal for a terrible unit was 5%, and you can’t tell me the value of that place has increased 5% in one year. I have many friends in the building who are also leaving, one has seen the 4-6% increase two years in a row. It will just keep going up as long as you stay. It's expensive and... (Verified Renter) It's expensive and is starting to feel the wear. There are a lot of new apartments in the area.I'd certainly have them take a good look at those. Staff at Matisse was fantastic.
I would recommend... (Verified Renter) I would recommend this apartment building to a certain population. I have had many encounters with middle-aged residents who have been very rude to me. I believe this to be due to my age. I am 25 years old and young professional. All rudeness has been unsolicited and unprovoked. This is not an area the office can improve upon, but I would disclose this information to other young professionals looking into this building.
