The Pet Doctor's staff is knowledgeable and Dr. Marcy is one of the most qualified and credentialed veterinarians in the state of Missouri. They care more about giving the highest standard of care than they do about seeing as many patients as possible in a work day. So many vets only allow 15 minutes per client and never really get to know their clients or their pets. The Pet Doctor is different! They never man-handle pets or traumatize them just to "get it done". They take their time and use gentle, low-stress handling to m... read more

We handle all of our patients with TLC and have even gotten certified as a "Cat Friendly Practice". We are also working on a certification for our canine patients!

We have been using the same vet for 6 years. We've had to change due to my dogs anxiety. I called just before the appointment to review the medicine and procedure that was going to happen and Annie was TERRIBLY RUDE cutting me off twice and treating me like I was interrupting her. So, if you don't have any questions this may be the place for you. If I talked to people like her I would not have a job.

Giving 1 star rating is too generous, I tried to call to find out more information and the lady that answered the phone, hang up on me. I tried to call again, no answer I guess they dont really need/want my business

You know we went to The Pet Doctor from 2009 thru 2014 with our little Yorkie Rudy when they were in the Winghaven Plaza. They were always awesome and when it came to payments and care, they did let us do a payment plan. We moved out of area and are now back. Its November 25, 2019 and we need to get our Rudy to the vet, we called The Pet Doctor and they can see Rudy but what is going on with him, if it requires surgery or other major treatment, they are unwilling to do a payment plan now as they did back in 2009 and th... read more

Giving 1 star rating is too generous. The owner, Dr Marcy Hammerle, has a reputation for being rude to customers and I just experienced it. Her front desk staff are not professional as well. Her morals and ethics as a vet are not there - when I asked for a referral for a dog chiropractor because my dog is in pain and needs an adjustment she refused to give it to me. I want a vet who truly loves animals and has their best interest at heart. Dr Hammerle lets her personal feelings get in the way. This is not a vet you want... read more

I am cross-posting this review with FB I must say I am completely discouraged when I placed a call yesterday to your facility to try to get a copy of my pups Rabies shot records, only to find out, you have absolutely no record of ever giving my pup his shot. Yet I have his tags and Petco holds the records for the shot... I unfortunately will not recommend anyone to your facility. I will say this much, the staff was great with my Pup and extremely friendly, but bad record keeping is not the way to go.

Business response:

We are so sorry about the mix up and we're glad that we were able to get it figured out for you!

This business is strictly out to make a buck. They have no true compassion for anything but the All Mighty Dollar. Upon asking for a simple dosing down of flea control for my 4 small dogs, they refused. They could have chosen to give me one month supply for a total of a 65 lb dog with a measuring syringe, but because of their obvious greed, the difference in price in giving me separate doses was $50 .

Business response:

We are sorry that we cannot dose that way. The 65 pound dose is not made to be split. The components may not be mixed in a completely even manner and that might cause one of your smaller dogs to get too small of a dose or even an overdose! We also cannot legally prescribe medications in a way other than they are labeled. That is a violation of the law and could even jeopardize our license.....we hope that you understand! We really did not do it because of the cost, but because a proper dose is safer for your pet.
