I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident We have chosen a place for my husband. It’s The Retreat at Sunriver. It’s relatively small, but it feels comfortable like you’re not going to get lost. The main issue is that it has a memory unit. It has an advance care unit for memory issues, so that’s the main reason. The staff is very caring and conscientious. I visited this facility The outside of The Retreat at Sun River is a very large expanding resort area. The facility itself is very new and gorgeous. I looked at the rooms at the assisted living and memory care. The rooms are very nice and spacious for the assisted living. They are very nicely finished. The bathrooms are large and spacious as well. As for the activities, they have small groups of 12 residents and they have three caretakers at all times. I visited this facility The Retreat is very lovely, and brand-new. It’s like one meal everyday you have to eat. It’s a golf course community, and very huge development. They have their home in there. It’s lovely. There’s a huge beautiful clubhouse. The assisted-living is within the community; that’s the whole idea of it. My dad had a stroke in February, that’s why they had to move there. I visited this facility My friend is at the Retreat at Sun River. The facility is a nice place but the food is terrible. My friend eats cheese sandwiches for supper and Jell-O for dessert. The residents don't do enough exercises and they just have TV for entertainment. The staff members seem to be okay but the chef looks unclean. He puts on a white shirt and a bib that are always dirty. That's really unpleasant for a classy place like that, with a grand piano and big fish aquarium at the entrance way.
