I thought the Sheridan at Lakewood Ranch was a nice place. I didn’t have any problem with the tour. That was the case with the several tours I went on, so I had a hard decision to make. I would have been satisfied with any of the ones I saw. I just found better pricing elsewhere.

Moved Mums from CA to FL months ago. After a LONG flight, we finally pulled up in front of the Sheridan. The reception we received was warm and welcoming (in spite of COVID 19) although they made us put on protective gear first! The Memory Care Director, has been at the helm since then. Her professional and compassionate care has, literally, been a life saver: a while ago, she noticed Mums was walking a little off kilt. Very fortunate I am living at The Sheridan. It is a beautiful facility and the staff are professional, warm, and caring. Before the pandemic, my mom took advantage of the many programs and social opportunities, including art classes. She made many friends among the residents as well as the staff. Since the pandemic, the staff have done an excellent job keeping everyone safe.
My mom moved in during Covid and has only been there 1.5 months so I don't have a lot of experience in the facility. Nursing staff, director of health and wellness, sales, move-in coordinator, exec director all wonderful. Aides are hit or miss. Some need to be more professional and the wait time on the pendant is long. I don't have history on much else.
