I’ve been working in law enforcement for a little over 28yrs and don’t often get to see the good in people. After bringing our mom into The Terraces at Via Verde in San Dimas, I’ve been completely schooled at how well the team member work together, are in tune with one another and care. From day one they’ve treated us like all like family and mom is doing very well… she likes it! Thank you Terraces staff… we’re all thriving now.
I placed my love on in this location where the workers are so caring and professional. They work there because they want to provide the best care for love ones when families can no longer be the main care givers. The food is absolutely delicious with varieties to make anyone excited to eat. The desserts are like being on a cruise ship. The staff is engaging with the residents and families. Moving to The Terraces was the best decision I could ever make for my dad with his Alzheimer's disease. The staff are kind, empathetic, caring, attentive, responsive, helpful, thoughtful, actively involved daily with the residence, supportive, and innovative in their approach to daily activities and living with memory care issues. The services they offered and the team work together with me in sharing the goals to assist in the care these elderly needed. To improve and help maintain their independence, welcoming holistic and or natural approaches if possible. The staff always look for ways to "spark" their brains to awake or remind them what they can do or could do. We also like they have OT/Pt on site and available.

Our mother currently lives at The Terraces at Via Verde memory care in their Enriched Assisted Living. We love the community. The staff are absolutely great, and every single staff member is extremely friendly!

[My loved one] has improved 99% from the other facility. She can walk, with assistance now, and hasn't walked in over 2 1/2 years. She enjoys living at The Terraces, and is not fearful or scared as she was before.

I had to place my husband into memory care and chose The Terraces. He came in barely walking, talking, or feeding himself and now he is doing all three!!! The staff from the top to the bottom are so caring and take such good care of my husband and all the residents. There truly is a community. My husband has progressed so well that he now goes on outings with the other residents. The place is so clean and homey. They have a wonderful courtyard for them to go outside and enjoy the sunshine. They were kind and caring. But I found my father at times not wearing shoes, urine soaked or his bed had not been made. They lacked the specific attention. I understand they are caring for a lot of people but for the price you expect a lot more attention.
What does "experience so far" mean? I moved my husband out of The Terraces in May. Thus, ending "the experience". After 6 weeks of observation, I concluded, that my husband was constantly depressed. My husband is a "level one" which translates to, he can do self-care without assistance from staff. The new director always made sure he stopped and said "hello".
