Although the venue itself offers a beautiful and romantic setting for a wedding ceremony, those attributes do not make up for the lack of flexibility and limited access windows provided for set up/clean up. NEGATIVE STARS. DO NOT BOOK HERE! This place has predatory contracts to which they make exceptions to, based on race. We booked here and had a family circumstance that prevented us from using a certain date. The manager told me we could change it, then the regional manager stated that they NEVER change dates - but later changed it said that they do. The operations director said something different. Our venue was at Hidden Pines Chapel in Highland Village, TX. Beautiful venue!! Not much curb appeal and it's next to a baseball field and Chase Bank. For some reason, they won't let you close the curtains in the Ceremony hall to block the Chase Bank view. Anyway, the inside is gorgeous and our guests talked it about days later. This place bugged me. So disappointed. First you have to buy out the whole hotel to have children under 12 be able to stay there. That's totally fine, I get it. But they don't provide hardly any discount for renting out the place for the wedding even though you bought out every room in the place. Second, check out is at 11:00 a.m. but I couldn't start set up until 4:30 p.m. for our 6:00 p.m. ceremony. This venue is really a great looking venue and the people who answer emails are responsive on a surface level. Where the lack of professionalism and just common curtesy lacks is in the hidden fees they don't tell you about till you are there. You have to use their catoring which is a minimum of $5250! It's been a month since our wedding and I've had time to reflect on what exactly I want to say for this review. Yes, this venue is beautiful. Our average wedding guest told us how perfect and pretty it was for the ceremony and reception. They let me decorate the outside how I choose and the rooms were perfect for our bridal party to stay in for the night. There are some pros and cons to this venue. If you plan to book this location please be sure and follow the entire contract and pay close attention to every detail as you would with any venue because the manager will challenge you on each line item if you ask for something different than what is on the contract. The manager at this location that manages all of the wedding details has some positive and negative attributes.
