Our grandfather went into the hospital on Friday evening. We were given a grim prognosis, we knew it would be fast. We knew we did not want him to suffer. We talked about hospice and someone brought up what can they do that the hospital can not do. Well, working for part of the Transitions Hospice family my sister and I knew what hospice could offer. But, I myself never seen it on a personal level. The level of genuine care for Grandpa and the rest of the family was something a floor nurse just can not give during this time. Iwona, our first nurse was soft spoken yet informative, she explained everything what was happening and what to expect to see. She cared for grandpa in a loving way, you would have thought that he was her grandpa. Paul, the second nurse that came on was also caring and attentive, my grandpa passed at 04:52 with nurse Paul on one side and my dad on the other. Chaplain Joe who was so loving, he genuinely cared for us as if we were his family. The words that he spoke on behalf of the Lord above were true and needed to be heard during this time. The Lord knew what we needed to hear and he sent Joe to us. I believe that I speak for the entire Rigsby family and we thank you for your help, love, care and attention. Thank you to Mar Palazzo and Jim Palazzo for making the arrangements with the hospital and being there for us. You made this difficult time easier for all of us. ❤❤ Nicole Rigsby Garner
