On Tuesday 2/23 we had to put our 14 year old Australian Shepherd to sleep. We have gone to Twin Maples for over 30 yrs. We have had 6 dogs from our family under their care until the end. Each dog was always given the best of care. The tenderness at the end of each of their lives will hold a special place in our hearts always. With the last two Dr. Burkhart and Dr. Clouse provided us with in home health care. Dr Burkhart also performed in home euthanasia for our last two babies. On Saturday January 16, 2016 we took our 14 yr old cat to have him examined after 5 days of not eating we were told he was very sick and wouldn't pull thru because he more than likely had kidney disease from his symptoms. We were given the option to hospitalize or euthanize. It was a hard decision but the vet was so compassionate about the situation and so was the staff. We are truly heartbroken over the loss of our beloved pet but having The compassionate staff by our side helped so much make the right decision for our pet.... read more
