My wife and I had a very nice visit and guided tour with [name removed]. the apartments were beautiful are favorites were Magnolia, Ashland, and Henrico. Oh The food we had was great and the menu was fantastic. We’re hoping to move in early spring of next year. Looking forward to meeting [name removed] and the Very friendly staff. While we have been here only half a month our experience has been entirely positive. Residents and staff to a person are extremely friendly, and Verena is very well managed. In summation, a fine experience.

By & large this is a friendly and safe place to live in. It lacks recreational areas, a theater, a community/lecture room and the cultural and recreational trips are few and far in between. Likewise dining area and food quality need some improvement.

My wife & I have been at the Verena at the Glen, VA., for the past two years. By and large it has been a pleasant and postive experience due to a caring, dedicted administrative staff coupled with a warm and friendly maintenance and other services help. I chose Verena at the Glen because I really liked the atmosphere, the friendliness of the people, and the homey feeling you get when you walk in. The apartment size I have is adequate for what I need. You are able to have up to 2 pets. They do also have a nice cement walkway that goes all the way around, in good weather it is great for walking. I really love it here and would definitely recommend them to others looking.
We had a good tour with Verena at the Glen. It did have kind of a weird set up though, right when you walked in you were in the dining area and we were not the biggest fan of that.
Verena At The Glen is only Independent living so there are no care services provided. Prior to COVID they had bingo, and other games for the residents. We also were able to brew our own beer. Every Friday they would have an open bar for social time. The food at this community is being delivered to us. The food is not consistently excellent. My apartment is perfect, they offer different varieties in size. This community has three separate buildings, two are apartments building for the residents with a common area.
I moved here three months ago today. So far, my experiences have been positive, especially with the people, both residents and staff. The food is amazing! The few minor maintenance issues I've encountered in my gorgeous apartment have been solved promptly and accurately. Costs may appear to be high but, compared to other communities, are actually lower than those others when amenities and meals are factored in. My sole regret is that I did not make this move sooner.
We made a good choice when we chose Cadence at the Glen. It is a very beautiful community in a country setting surrounded by trees. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a newspaper delivered daily. We like the meals that they serve and they always have music playing at mealtimes. They provide two meals a day, breakfast and lunch.
