Though she is retiring, her legacy will live on through her patients. Her brilliant skills as a surgeon saved me from continued years of pain. I had an extreme case of endometriosis that no other doctor wanted to risk operating on me, for fear of leaving me with a permanent colostomy bag. But, Dr. Vernon had a "hold my beer" mentality and the surgery was a success. Dr. Waldrep is far and away the best doctor I've ever seen. After living in Waco for 12 years, I decided it was well worth the 200 mile round trip to go back to her. She's more than competent, kind, never in a hurry and is a great listener. I HIGHLY recommend her.
I have been seeing Dr Waldrep for over 30 years. There is a reason I drive across town to see her! She is so caring and spends genuine time with each of her patients. I will be so sad if she ever decides to retire. She is simply the best!!
My last visit with Dr. Vernon was indeed my last visit as she's retiring. I cried when I got the email that this important person in my life for the last 35 years will no longer be my doctor. But I'm joyful for her that she gets to start this new phase of her life.
