My daughter was in that facility for 90 days. She came out mentally destroyed. There was only one cabin with indoor plumbing you had to be really, really good to go to that cabin. She did let me know of a time when the out houses or porta potties were not functionable probably because they were nasty and they had boxes under the porch at the cabin for the girls to use. There was no control over actions or language of the children. These children are all there for a reason and they were watching movies like the exorcist, Saus... read more

My son was here for 60 days. Had it not been for the work and efforts of his therapist Danielle Pickle it would have been a totally bad experience. She was the only bright spot in our experience at Village. There were non stop fights and chaos in the cabin. They were understaffed and expected a great deal of their staff when it came to managing the residents. They placed an ankle monitor on my son which created sores and open wounds on his ankle. His language and speech were worst than they had ever been. When my son came h... read more

Names Dylan Osteen, went here as a kid and see a lot of controversy in the reviews. However when I went there it was a pretty nice experience, if I wasn't experiencing suicidal ideation and maddening depression at the time I probably would've loved the place. I'd love to know why and for what reasons they are under investigation for because everyone there seemed to be good decent people. Now the therapists was a bit of a problem, always felt like they were there for a paycheck. But this place taught me one lesson that I live... read more

I was placed here for 5 months due to suicidal ideations and attempts. This place was hell for me. I was 13 with lots of trauma and had staff telling me I was going to hell. The most enjoyable part was my friend I knew from school and my therapist. There was a huge snowstorm and all the kids were made to USE THE BATHROOM OUTSIDE IN FREEZING TEMPERATURE! During this time we had 2 small heaters for our cabin it was awful. Don't send your child here if you want them to get help this place is hell

My survivor story link is at the bottom of this review. I encourage anyone thinking of sending their child here to read it in full. I was put here in 1998 at the age of 17. It took me 10 years before I even googled this place because of the trauma - too much to write in this review. I can't believe it's still in business to this very day (2024). It used to be called "Peninsula Village," but I'm guessing they've tried to rebrand to avoid stigma. I am now 43 years old, married, and have 3 children. I still tear up, tense up,... read more
