The associates and facility are great! My mother lived there for only 4 months because her health improved enough for her to have another chance of living at her home. Her apartment was on the courtyard and really set up nice! All of the associates actually cared and really seemed to love their jobs as it showed through their service to my mother and our family! It's a very comfortable facility, and the staff are all terrific. They are bringing in a new Activities manager, so that score will improve. I would recommend Harborchase of Mckinney!
After looking at 12 places, Harbor Chase stood out as the best choice. We referred to it as the Disneyland of assisted living. Activities are fantastic and care is top notch. We leave our family member and feel he is safe and loved.
They are very understaffed right now just like everybody else is but they are really trying their hardest and go above and beyond. Towards the end of our stay they got an activities coordinator and she was great. The food was not up to par. It was sometimes too hard for residents to chew and it just was not balanced or suitable. I think the value for the money would have been there if they were fully staffed.
I would be hard pressed to find anything to complain about. The kitchen staff is even wise enough to never serve liver! Ii appreciate the efforts that everyone makes to keep me healthy and happy. And then there's happy hour-who could complain about that?!?
Living here has been a joy - beyond my expectations. It is an extremely well run and well cared for organization. Executive Director [name removed] is an extremely competent administrator.
They were short staffed in the beginning but that is improving. I would recommend to anyone, it is by far the best place I looked at and talked to. My mother is thrilled and happy. I have never seen a place where residents are always happy, but that is how it is here. The residents want to hang out together and the staff are fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about them, they are phenomenal. The food is great and chef prepared meals.
