Beautiful building, with good staff but nowhere near enough staff. No opportunity for more needy residents to spend time in their own rooms, but instead have to spend it in the communal lounge with a large number of other residents- very undignified, especially for those who are more private. We moved my father as soon as we were able . His place here was found by social services, in an urgent situation and unfortunately he ended up spending 2 months here, during which he became completely wheelchair bound due to the distanc... read more

I recently visited this care home and was really impressed. The residents were happy and comfortable, and the new home manager was friendly and clearly dedicated to the residents' well-being. It’s obvious that the staff truly care about those they look after. The home itself is beautifully maintained and set in such a lovely, welcoming location.

Walberton Place is a lovely care home in a beautiful village. The new Home Manager is fantastic and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The residents look very happy and were keen to chat about how much they enjoy living there.

Walberton Place is a beautiful care home but sadly lacks in staff in all areas. Since announcing the opening over 30 staff have left due to a total lack of support from management. Staff training is very sadly lacking, there is no induction, new starters are left to get on with the job. Food. Although the food looks wonderful it is not suitable for the elderly clientele, a huge amount of food is thrown away daily, comments from the residents are, all I want is good plain food, not this fancy stuff. If 0 stars was possible that is honestly what I would give. The training for stuff in non existing. The residents do not get the care they deserve and are often left in the coffee shop for hours with nothing to do and it takes carers up to an hour to assist someone to the toilet or back to their room. Although the food looks nice, none of the residents like it! They just want nice, warm hearty meals but instead get fancy decorated plates with inedible food on it.
