I visited my Mum on the morning of Christmas Day 2024 and was thrilled to find the home buzzing with Christmas joy and a real family feeling. There were high numbers of cheerful staff making it a very special time for all residents. The home had not only bought a gift for each resident, but I noticed, with delight, that significant thought had been given and each gift was very personalised. It is always difficult to make a decision regarding your loved one's care, as there are so many things to consider for each individual. Owing to my own sudden bad health, the decision for respite care for my elderly husband had to be done in a hurry. I asked many friends and neighbours who have lived in this area, and the answer was always Walberton Place Care Home. Such a good decision in every way. Mum has been at the home for some time now and in my experience it has been excellent. Care, support and attention to the whole family and good communication. Food and catering facilities are excellent and my husband and I often stay for Sunday lunch which is set up as if we were taking Mum out to a restaurant. The hairdresser takes such care to make sure the residents feel special and look nice. During Christmas, the staff worked so hard to make the activities and decorations a memorable occasion. Mum has really flourished since living here. The care and compassion has been outstanding and we see such positive changes in Mum's wellbeing. Mum is really happy here. We enjoy out visits with her, and have total piece of mind that she is very looked after.

My husband has been in full time care since October. During that time I've been impressed and reassured that he is in good hands. He has dementia and is deteriorating. They keep me informed at all times of his progress and they do their best to deal with his needs.

The care home has been incredible. They quickly made a room available at short notice. They were friendly, professional and helpful throughout. They have reassured my mum and myself that Dad will be cared for and happy. They have also understood his interests and hobbies. Beautiful and caring staff. Thank you.

This home is amazing. Beautiful setting and stunning interior. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The care and support is exceptional. The residents are treated like family and with dignity and respect. There are lots of activities available and events that families can take part in too. From inquiry about care home, experienced kindness, friendliness and openness regarding introduction and individual requirements for my mother's needs and comfort. Given tour and opportunities to help choose her room. Excellent communication from all staff. Care and nursing care were excellent and thoughtful to the end. After this care extended to relatives.

There are lots of carers. It's light and airy and doesn't feel like a traditional care home. Staff are friendly and helpful. Accommodating regarding food and en-suite wet room increases Mum's independence.
