As soon as I walked in the door, I got instant attitude from the receptionist. The sticker on the floor said to wait there until called, never got called just stared at and finally with the attitude tone “you know you can come up here..” I said well it says to wait until called. The staff was helpful and Curtious. Even thought the waiting room was full, my wait time to see the doctor was reasonable. The doctor was helpful, diagnosed my issue, prescribed my medication and sent me on my way!
The young woman who checked me in could see that I had some mobility issues and was very quick completing forms so I could sit down. She also assisted an opening doors for me when I went through to see the doctor. The doctor treating me was very gentle and reassuring. She prescribed me antibiotics and changed my dressing and explained that I should follow up with my doctor as soon as possible. I was only an urgent care for about two and a half hours.
I went there last night because I was really feeling sick. When I got up to the desk after checking in online, the woman ran my insurance card and then told me that I would have to pay $190 before I could be seen. I asked why it was $190, she said it was because I hadn’t met my deductible yet. I tried to explain that there isn’t a deductible for urgent care, it’s only for hospitalization. If you don’t wanna sit there for three hours, then don’t go no I didn’t have an appointment when I did check in. I was number three. She went to everybody except me three hours later I got up and walked out. That is ridiculous. I heard the nurse tell her this lady has to go to work. She still didn’t come into the freaking room. I will never set foot in that mess again that’s not urgent care that’s deadly care. I was better off going to the ER. I mean, I could hardly freaking breathe. I just walked out.
