2nd time in 2 years my mother has received the best care under friendly and professionsl staff! They helped to make our transition from care to home hospice easy during our difficult times. We appreciate them so much!
The people at Wolf Creek Care Center in Grass Valley, took absolutely wonderful care of my mother following a stroke. All the staff members there were warm and kind and did their best to help mom recover in as much comfort as possible. Vicki McDaniel, the social services director there, went out of her way to make sure that mom got a TB test, a Covid shot, and that the necessary paperwork was filled out and emailed to get mom into an assisted living facility closer to family. I stayed at Wolf Creek for about 3 1/2 weeks after getting lassoed with my dog's cable line and breaking my femur. I can't say enough wonderful things about my time there. All of the staff were warm, kind and helpful. From the top administrator to the doctor, nurses, cna's, kitchen staff, PT and OT staff, social services and cleaning staff. In September of 2022 we came to the point that we could no longer take care of my wife's sister and was very fortunate to be guided to Wolf Creek Care Center. The entire staff has proved to be so caring, loving, and helpful. we don't know what we would have done without them. By entire staff I mean administration, nursing, cleaning, all ! my wife was transferred from the hospital to wolf creek care and has spent 20 days there. I had heard some unfavorable comments about wolf creek and am happy to say from my perspective they were unfounded. She has received excellent care at all levels. A very caring staff and clean facility. I would recommend this. On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 10.
I have had two parents who landed here with broken hips over the past year during Covid. Wolf Creek is a basic facility, no frills, not an expensive private institution - but I have to say - the care and support they both received was impressive and effective.. I used to work there... everyone talks about everyone behind their back... nepotism is encouraged there... people think they can show up to work and leave from work whenever they want cause they have "family" who does schedules... they allow 2 people to work on NOC shift even when the census is low... and still want to get everyone up and dressed... the CNAs talk about the patients and family members very unprofessional.
