I have an old pool/pump that is only pulling on average 18gpm. I was able to get the unit to operate by removing the rubber brushes. After a couple weeks of use the drive train worked in and I have been able to add back one brush per wheel. Also moved the float to about 20" up the first hose. The unit is operating slower than design but is working well.
