Been using a diaphragm type cleaner for years, but it never seemed to get everything and very rarely went into the shallow area of the pool and never climbed the walls. I just recently purchased the MX8 Elite, and wow, what a difference! Goes everywhere in the pool, and even up the sides. The pool is spotless now. I can't speak to durability yet, but so far its performance is awesome.
It does a good job cleaning the bottom but it doesn't do the walls very well It seems to have a hard time getting up them and then doesn't go high or stay long. We have a few stairs and a ledge in our Gunite pool and it won't do them at all. We have some deep divots in the bottom surface and it does get into them a little. Overall I'm happy I got it, I was just hoping it would do a little better on the walls and steps.

(MX8/MX8 Elite) Observe cleaner for more than five (5) minutes and ensure that each drive track is periodically reversing direction. If it is not, contact your dealer or service center for help. 2. My old cleaner was frustrating and never kept the pool clean. I have had the Zodiac MX8 for a week and the pool has never looked better. I wish I had upgraded years ago.
