I have had a great experience with the MX8-Elite. This is actually my second one. The first lasted over 3 years with very little maintenance or problems. When I caught a good sale, I bought another. I figured the extra hoses and need repair parts were close to the same price. I have a PebbleTec pool in AZ, so I use the cleaner 365 days/year and I leave it in the pool at all times except taking it out when swimming. No trees. Lots of bouganvillea petals. The Zodiac MX8 Elite works well covering all of my 42 foot pool. Very satisfied with its over all performance.
The serpent we had died, so we needed something new. Zodiac to the rescue. So far, so good. We really like that it doesn't make noise while working and it does a good job.
It is the best investment for anyone who owns a pool.
Excellent system. I have a golden retriever that spends most of his days in the pool, rolling around in dirt to dry off then jumping back in the pool. There is a constant layer of filth at the bottom of my pool but the dog uses it more than the humans and it's the best exercise for him so I needed a solution to keep the pool clean. So far the cleaner works great. It was the directions that was bad. I am a man that does read directions. I would have been better off not. It shows when you start putting the hose together using coupling side first. If you do that you will end up with male and male end together. I thought I was missing a coupling. the gentleman at Leslie's pool supply's showed me the correct way which was opposite of the directions. it did not look it would fit the way he showed me but it did.
Even after reading great reviews I didn't think the MX8 Elite would do the job since our old vacuum didn't get the waterline very clean and got caught up on the stairs constantly. I was amazed in a few hours when our entire pool was spotless. No joke, spotless! Hoping to continue being satisfied for years!
I’ve only had this unit in the pool for a couple of days so far, so it’s too early to give a proper rating at this time, so far it’s doing fine.
I have had the Zodiac Elite for 1 week and love it. You can see a night and day difference with how it cleans compared to the product I had previously had.
