it works great... the reps at store level were fine (although my pool guy can be a struggle at times!)... I haven't seen my rebate yet though... what's up with that?

Unit vacs the bottom and sides well. But the opening for stiff or larger debris is small so the unit can get easily clogged, but overall does a good job.

Thanks for the review, Robert! The good news is the debris inlet can be widened to allow larger debris to pass through. Just remove the yellow debris inlet on the bottom of the cleaner. I had an issue with my pool with algae. Like really bad algae. Now most of the issues were chemical balances in the water, but when that was situated I still had really bad stains in my plaster, so i got the mx8 elite. It was the only pool vac on the market in my price range that actively scrubs the plaster. I plugged it in and in less than 6 hours of service most of the staining was greatly reduced. After 3 days, it was pretty much gone. Great product and worth the money.
It is the BEST side suction pool cleaner, specially with $125 rebate. I love the brush build in option and it cleaned the pool so well. Thanks Zodiac!!!.
