When 54th first opened they were great! Lunch specials were $6.99. Yesterday the food wasn't that good & lunch specials are $8.29. All the prices went up on their fancy new menu. Waitress looked like she hated her job also. What happened to the friendly staff & good food with decent prices? If I go back it will be a long time from now. Not impressed anymore.
I have been going to 54th Street sense they opened in San Marcos, Tx, at least once or twice a week, today I went and someone in the corporate world decided to destroy the French Dip sandwich, it was the greatest thing, now it's a poor excuse for a roast beef sandwich, I will not be going back until I hear that they have reversed the decision to change the recipe. One very unhappy customer. :(
The food was good but the Long Island Tea was weak and watery. I won't order that again.
We just got into town and we go out to celebrate Robby's and Katie's birthdays but this restaurant employee tells us we have to wait 45 minutes to an hour because they wont open up another table! Can anyone make sense of this! They rather lose 8 paying customers than open another table when they have a half full restaurant! Ridiculous!
Went there for the first time with my wife. Drink and food order took too long to receive. The plate I ordered had chicken which was over seasoned and really salty. Our waiter was not very good.
I've been to this location twice since they opened. Today we arrived around 3:31 pm on Mother's Day with a party of 6. I completely understand that we were going to have to wait awhile. They told us it was an approximate wait of 45-55 minutes. As of 4:26 pm we waited the entire 55 minutes. We saw a few larger parties arrive after us and be seated before us. I notified the host that we have been waiting the entire 55 minutes and that we have seen parties come and go and we were still waiting. They stated that we would have to... read more
