It has gone down hill dramatically since the previous director retired and they got rid of the wonderful Activities Director.

Read reviews of Aberdeen carefully! I notice recent 5 star reviews are NOT from residents or families. My mother just left Aberdeen after almost two years. The CNA’s and former nurse (who just left after 6 years) were very sweet and caring-I’d give them 5 stars! In the 2 years my mom was there they’ve had multiple executive directors, three activity directors and multiple marketing people. Don't do it!! If you are considering moving your loved one to Aberdeen Heights Assisted Living in Tulsa OK, please reconsider. My parent has resided there for almost two years and we have seen a rapid decline during that time. The employees are fired on a whim which is so confusing on the elderly family member who trusts and confides in these individuals. My mother was at Aberdeen from [date removed]. There were some fabulous things about Aberdeen: the activities directors [name removed] and [name removed] had fun activities, the food was wonderful, and mom's room was spacious and cleaned regularly. Also, many of the nurses and nurses aides were very compassionate and attentive. My MIL recently was a resident, previously the management was very caring and in touch with family at all times but since the Director has retired within the past few months things have definitely changed. When we moved my MIL there we were told it was an age in place facility but after my MIL was admitted to the hospital and rehab we were told she may not be able to return. Over the past 3 months under the new director: - Employees are not happy. - The food quality has dramatically declined from a 10 to a 2, and the portions are smaller. My mom ends up snacking in her room at night now because she's hungry again. - The nursing staff has been cut in size and now hours reduced. During our loved ones stay it just unfortunately did not meet our needs and expectations, communication has not been the best. Hopefully once they make some changes it will really start to improve
