We have been with Dr. Litman for over 35 years going back to when he was a solo practitioner and he has been terrific. We moved years ago but still travel there because we have been completely satisfied Now he is phasing out of general dentistry in favor of endodontia. The hygienists are perfectly fine and we've had no issues with appointments, insurance of any of the other issues people have raised. I had a bad experience with a dentist back when I was a teenager, and it soured me on dentists. Under a recommendation from a friend, I decided to try Academy Dental and they are amazing. They removed stained coloring from my teeth, and I am able to floss better now from what the dental hygienist did. The staff is always friendly, and they even seem to really enjoy working there. The dentist answered all of my questions without blowing me off (like the last dentist I had).

I've been going to Academy Dental for years. Staff is always friendly. I get regular cleanings done & also had braces done here. No issues or concerns. I did see a question about payment plans. I can say I was able to make monthly payments to cover the $2,500 fee (my insurance only covered half) for my braces. I'll continue to come here. Small office but they know what they're doing.

I have to disagree with the person who said something about customer service. I myself have never had any issues with any of the staff. They have always been very nice and try to be accommodating as much as possible. The only thing negative that I would have to say is if you can't keep an appointment and you give adequate notice, they can't get you in for the time you need for 2 months and when your child is wearing braces and shouldn't wait that long you have no choice but to keep the appointment. We have been patients at academy dental for some time now. The office is super clean and nice. The staff always seems to be friendly. They do tend to charge more I think compared to other offices. Getting an appointment can also be a bit of hassle, even if there's an emergency. Overall though up in this area they are pretty much as good as it gets.

Only 2 cause my hygienist was great. 0 stars for new Smilies ownership. A patient for 30 years. Never had a problem until the new ownership. Never quoted co pay cost always higher before I leave . Or when I get there. Always new front desk staff. Everyone probably quits! No one knows how to process insurance or look it up correctly. Finding new dentist I shouldn't have a panic attack attack checking in and out. Was told today before I went no copay . Checked me out . I used bathroom and all of a sudden called to desk for 79.... read more
