I had the misfortune to have the worst loan company to deal with in the industry OCWEN. Ehren had my property short sold at least twice and had one offer run out before OCWEN responded. His people were knowledgeable and could always tell me if there was any movement from OCWEN. With offers in the $160 - !75K range, OCWEN wanted $210K and it took over a year to get them to reduce their demands. My house finally sold for $165K, which was what had been offered a YEAR before. I used his website on many occasions to review listings that my husband and I might be interested in buying. I do no have personal knowledge of his expertise, responsiveness of negotiation skills, but do not want to say he is bad, as I do not personally know.
We did not have any luck with Ahren handling our short sale. He is 600 miles away, so didn't show the property even once. We only signed with him because our attorney recommended him. He had no clue about our small town market and his strategies did not fit with our area. I would have rather him tell me that he couldn't handle our case than to do it poorly.I would not do business with him again.

I understand your frustration but the local market you are in has limited buyers. The demand was extremely low, the bank wanted OVER fair market value for your property. Local Realtors/buyers would see that comparable properties were much lower than what the bank was going to accept for your short sale. I did a co-listing with a local broker to gain additional exposure and expertise but we yielded the same results. In my opinion I was played for a sucker by Resolution Realty. We made an offer for a house in short sale where they represented us and the seller and in my opinion we were used to help the seller get the short sale but not for us to get the house. We wasted a lot of time waiting. Now I see adds for the law firm involved where they advertise "Keep your house and short sell it" In my opinion we were used as pawns.

I called this agent about a house I wanted to look into and he never returned one of my 4 phone calls. Needless to say the house was under contract before anyone from his firm called me back. Very annoying.
