The first building they put up was very nice. Then less than two weeks later, I ordered another one to be attached to the first one. They accepted my deposit confirmed the order then two weeks later I hadnt heard anything so I called the company they didnt have an order in their system for me, I did some more calling and even though they have pictures of the exact same thing on their website, they said they dont do that anymore. I give two stars because the price was good and the planning was good. Everything after that has been a nightmare. The crew that came to install barely spoke any English which made explaining door and window layout hard at best. Metal panels were miscut and still installed, the man door doesnt close, water leaks under the walls and from the roof. Not sure how this company has a 4.6 star but I would give a 0 if I could. I am very disappointed. The building is very poorly put together. I bought a closed shed that was told it wouldnt leak water and could be finished on the inside. I have water leaks all over the inside. Windows, door, base rail, corner trim. ***** holes randomly without screws that are leaking water. Gaps that are going to allow **** to blow in very badly when the time comes. A pretty terrible experience with American Steel. They failed to build the building to the specifications that THEY provided so it failed welding inspection. They said they would fix it, a month later they decided to remove the entire building and replace it. They failed to meet delivery times on multiple occasions, each office told me different stories and none of them were truthful. Before delivery, they failed to correctly provide engineered drawings on multiple occasions, each failed attempt costs WEEKS in production. In... read more
Be careful when working with this company they will rip you off scam you and take your money just don't do business with them
This company put me through the wringer. About a week after installation it rained and the garage leaked. It was installed in January. I just got it fixed this month of April. It hasnt rained yet so not sure if it is repaired. Because it took so long to get any response from the company I had to call my bank and dispute the charges. It wasnt until after that they contacted me and said that they were sending someone out to repair it as a courtesy to me . Since they came to repair it I havent had any rain. Absolutely no communication at all initiated by them or between them and the sales partner. I had to call all the time, apparently I became a nuisance, so they blew me off. Buyer beware, the whole company takes a 2 1/2 week vacation during Christmas and New Years. No communication about that. The permit paperwork was mishandled twice at which point I cancelled my order. They really didnt seem to care either. No apologies, or anything to keep a paying customer happy. I would NOT recommend this company.
I have received 2 emails wanting my review. The product seems good, the customer service is not good, I purchased from the headquarters or what I assumed was out of *****. The company salesman was always available before purchasing however he became a ghost after the deposit and during the build, the only communication I had after deposit was with a person for scheduling, the dates were changed twice. The install was two weeks late. They lied about the install date to make the sale. The install was bad, they used bricks they found around my yard to level one side of the building. None of the installers could speak English. They left screws and scrap medal on the grass. I would recommend this company to anyone.
