If I could get this Vet clinic Zero stars I would, because back then the doctors Used to be Right on time for appointments, NOT this time had to WAIT almost 40 Minutes JUST get My cat looked for some tests and that took ANOTHER 20-30 minutes. This vet clinic used to be Very Good, but this has Crossed the line the doctor that came had NO IDEA what she was doing?! NEVER coming back EVER Again and I don’t recommend them Anymore!

Sitting in a waiting room now. Have been in here for 25 mins with no nurse or doc to come see my ailing pup. The room in front and behind us got here after us and have both been seen already. This place has gone down hill. I have been bringing pets here since 2003 and the new staff and changes they have made to this office are horrible. There is no time management and listening to the staff joke and play is really ridiculous when we are waiting for care. They are supposed to be tending to their patients but instead the... read more

I have been less than impressed by their service lately. Was in a month or so ago to get my dog her allergy shot and it was 43 minutes before anyone even came into the exam room. No one bothered letting us know they would be running behind. They didn’t even bother to address other concerns I had during our visit. Just yesterday morning I had to call at 4 am to try to reach their emergency line due to our dog having a severe reaction (severely swollen eyes, muzzle and hives everywhere) to something still unknown. Not impressed by their new vets at all. Have been there 3 times in the last two weeks with a sick dog and they keep guessing what it is. Will not be returning to this vet after they figure this out. Will be taking our dogs to Ross. It was a great 9-10 years Anamosa sorry your new vets ruined your reputation. Your original vets are great and I still recommend them.

We had been with Anamosa Vet for about 3 or 4 years now and for some reason their customer service has gone downhill quite a bit. We took our three dogs in for their annual exams, waited almost a half hour before we were even put into an exam room and then waited another hour before we were even seen. I understand emergencies happen and I get that but nothing was even communicated to us as to why we were waiting so long. Once the doctor came in, he didn’t even do a physical exam on our dogs. Too many mistakes, too many animals lost. Please take 15 minutes to visit the Monticello vet. I have three friends who can attest considering their animals DIED in the Anamosa Clinic all within the last year (one being a cat just going in for shots, had a reaction & was handled VERY poorly.) Please please go elsewhere.

I went in for a normal vaccine with my two year old cat. He was healthy as can be when I went in. I had to wait over an hour from my appointment time to get into a room. I left the vet around 6. My cat started to look sick and was acting weird so I called the line and the office was closed of course. I selected the number for an emergency call. I was informed to come in from the person I spoke to on the phone. I returned to the office within 30 minutes of leaving. I was let in because a family left. I entered the office with... read more

Took a healthy cat in for shots recommended by the vet and those shots killed him. Healthy, two year old cat. Staff were not kind upon returning to the clinic 30 minutes with a cat about to die after just leaving. Do not take your animals here. All they care about is the money!

There is a huge lack of empathy, respect or care shown from this clinic. Dr. Smith should be fired for his behavior and not taking responsibility for his own actions.
